DisabilityKey's Process REALLY WORKS!

For those of you new to DisabilityKey's information and process, you may be asking yourself - does the process really work? The short answer is YES - it does! HOWEVER, most of the work is yours - using the process established that assists your to document your symptom impairments, and to get corroboration about your symptom impairments on your normal daily living activities, from your support network - including doctors.

Here is a current testimonial from a successful client. Please pay particular attention to what she says about HOW she "worked the process":

dear carolyn,

this letter comes as a huge THANK YOU for all that you are and all that you do to help those of us suffering deeply from m.s. and the financial toll that comes with it. i am so very grateful to the m.s. society for passing your name along to me when i was at the beginning of the disability application process. i had assumed that i would need an attorney, but i knew that i could not afford one. then i simply assumed that i would be denied. at that point, i had no idea what i was going to do.

one phone call to you changed all of this for me. your demeanor, your unfailing sense of hope and dignity, and your selfless kindness saved me. you shared with me (and my father) information about your program. you gave us the facts we needed to know, and you answered all of our questions. when i met with you to begin the process, i felt at ease and very comfortable. you explained everything to me in a way that my brain could process, and you assured me that you would help me along, every step of the way. you were true to your word.

your system, quite simply, just makes sense. the more information we provide to the state, the more likely we are to get the result we so desperately need. after our meeting, i went to work on all the things you suggested i put into my disability application packet. it did take time to do -- getting all the medical records, writing essays on the different elements of my life affected by m.s., asking friends and clients to write letters on my behalf, etc -- but when it was all completed and put into a binder and sent off to the social security office, i felt like i had done everything possible to prove my case.

to make matters just a little more complicated, i received my entire binder returned back to me in the mail just days later! i panicked. i knew that i was not going to get approved if the case worker did not have all of the supporting documentation that i had provided. i placed a stressed phone call to carolyn. "help me, carolyn. what do i do now?" she took charge of the moment again, assuring me that we were doing the right thing, and telling me exactly what to do in response to this "glitch." she had me contact my state senator and representatives, and open a case in each office regarding my disability application process. carolyn then helped me write a new letter to the social security department; in essence, telling them that i had done this extra work to make their job easier, and that i now had opened cases in the government's offices. carolyn had me reference the case numbers of each of the senator/representative files at the end of the letter. having done all that, i then re-sent my application packet.

i received an approval in less than 8 weeks!!!

that would never, never, never have happened without the brilliant guidance and successful program created by you, carolyn. thanks to you, i can now focus on trying to get as healthy as possible instead of focusing on how i'm going to pay the heating bill and the mounting medical bills. none of this is easy, but to have someone like you out there, fighting for us every single day, it just makes it less stressful and more hopeful. those are good things for someone dealing with m.s.

i now worry about those people out there who have never heard about carolyn magura and your program -- and who, most definitely, are getting disability rejections over and over again. your program is a blessing -- a blessing that you bestow, smile on face, to all of us who are in need and who have been lucky enough to hear about you. i was one of the lucky ones.

carolyn magura, you gave me back my life.

with a heart full of gracious gratitude,
layne ann lakefish
